A visit to Stavanger is like a step back in time, with its rich landscape, enchanting fjords and wonderful mixture of old against new. Littered with 19-century buildings, its beautiful old quarter is the perfect place to transport yourself back in time to the historic days of prosperity. Situated in the heart of the city is Stavanger's 12th century cathedral, the only church to have retained all its original features since its construction in the Middle Ages. Discover Pulpit Rock, hanging 1,800 feet above the Lysefjord below - when you step out to admire the views, you'll feel on top of the world.

Day 4 - Skjolden

Surrounded by steep hills with spectacular falls, Skjolden is located at the head of the longest navigable fjord in the world – Sognefjord. As well as being situated in a breathtaking location, the town itself is host to a number of activities and attractions. Once home to the Austrian philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein (1889-1951), he wrote some of his most important works here.

Day 5 - Geiranger

Your arrival into Geiranger unfolds to reveal one of the most beautiful settings in Norway. Fjords glitter in the distance, sheer rock walls combine with trickling waterfalls, deserted farmhouses dot the horizon and lakes shimmer in various shades of green and blue. A small coastal settlement located at the water's edge, Geiranger has a backdrop of rolling hills and its stunning scenery and clean living lifestyle offers plenty to see and do. Travelling up serpentine roads and zigzagging pathways you'll receive breathtaking panoramic views over the fjord, leaving you feeling exhilarated!

Bergen's an old city with a young outlook, full of infectious charm. With its stunning setting, medieval buildings and a bustling atmosphere, it won't take you long to get caught up in the excitement of this magnificent city. Steeped in culture, Bergen has one of the oldest symphony orchestras, the first national theatre and plenty of museums including the Bergen Art Museum, which showcases some of Norway's finest artists. For a spectacular panorama of the city, the funicular railway can take you 1,000 feet to the top of Mount Floyen.
