In 1994 Calypso was completely re-built to a high specification as a purpose-built cruise ship and, at 11,162grt and with 243 cabins, carries around 500 passengers. Calypso is fully stabilised and air conditioned and has eight passenger decks serviced by two lifts. Other facilities include a well stocked library/card room and internet café or if you fancy a flutter, a casino with blackjack and roulette tables. Up on deck there is a small unheated sea water pool, the Sunshine Bar and a choice of sun deck areas. For the body and fitness conscious, a fully equipped fitness and wellbeing centre with a sauna and massage facility to keep you in tip top condition. Talking of fitness, Calypso also has a traditional wrap-around wooden promenade on Boat Deck for your daily walk around the ship or perhaps, for that romantic stroll under star studded skies as we sail through the night in search of new adventures. |
