Northwest of Amsterdam is the large, tranquil beach of IJmuiden. And then straight to the city, where you'll be overwhelmed by the beauty of this unique capital. Amsterdam was once a small fishing village that developed due to the various influences it came under. Today, the city is an international destination for tourism and culture. As soon as you arrive at the port of Amsterdam, you'll sense the contagious atmosphere that pervades it and the culture of sharing. Spend some time visiting the Gothic church of Nieuwe Kerk and then dive into the past by visiting the Anne Frank House in the Grachtengordel district. Complete your visit with a walk in the Oud-West district, with its bars and its characteristic "Brown Cafés".

A UNESCO World Heritage city and birthplace of the legendary Beatles, Liverpool, in the north west of England, was founded on the right bank of the River Mersey at the confluence with Irish Sea. It is a lively and bustling city, full of things to do and sights to see, ideal for lovers of culture and for those seeking relaxation. We will visit its theatres, traditional pubs, its historical buildings and cathedrals, streets that are the setting for live music, festivals and events of all kinds. Liverpool, the maritime mercantile city of Northern Europe, also boasts the largest concentration of museums in the United Kingdom outside London, many of them with free admission. A visit to the Albert Dock and all the other piers restructured and transformed into lively and stimulating areas with museums, shops and attractions such as the Tate Gallery, the Merseyside Maritime Museum and the Beatles Story Museum are really worth a visit. Its cathedrals are also stunning: including the massive neo-Gothic Cathedral Church of Christ and the futuristic Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King with its curious circular shape. Liverpool is the city of the Beatles and the link with their music is very strong. So you can explore their story and visit the Cavern Club in Mathew Street or the numerous music festivals.

Day 5 - Greenock

Symbol of the Royal Navy, a few kilometres from Glasgow is the Port of Greenock: birth place of James Watt, inventor of the steam engine. The local newspaper, The Greenock Telegraph, is amongst the oldest in the United Kingdom. After disembarking in Greenock, you must visit Glasgow, a Scottish City full of pubs and restaurants. Very important museums and art galleries, such as the Burrell Collection or the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. The architecture of Glasgow is one of the most surprising of the United Kingdom, eighteenth-century renovated warehouses of the Merchant City to the massive George Square in Victorian style. Glasgow is also a particularly pleasant city for those who love parks and gardens: enjoy a stroll in the beautiful People's Palace and Winter Gardens or in Strathclyde Country Park in Motherwell.

Scotland is a land of mysterious castles, armour and legendary warriors who sprout from the fog on their steeds. Here we visit Invergordon near Loch Ness. The first things you see when you arrive in Invergordon are the endless plains dotted with castles. The port of Invergordon enlivens the city, where there is an almost intimate feel with its cafes, restaurants and the friendliness of its inhabitants. You can take a trip to the unmissable Loch Ness. Visit Urquhart Castle before returning to town and take a look around the Naval Museum. But above all, be enchanted by the architecture of buildings decorated with murals.

Day 8 - Edinburgh, UK

The City of Newcastle upon Tyne, to distinguish it from the other Newcastles around the world, is located in the North of England. Founded in Roman times with the name of Pons Aelius, it became famous in the 20th century for its shipyards and coal exports. Today it is a bustling English city where you can breathe the real British atmosphere ""and have some interesting cultural visits. Popular attractions include Keep Castle, a Norman fortress from the 12th century, later transformed into a mediaeval castle; Saltwell Park, a typical Victorian Park with gardens, ponds and a maze of hedges; finally the Millenium Bridge which connects Newcastle to the twin city of Gateshead.

The port of Harwich is close enough to London to allow us a visit. It remains one of the most beautiful cities in the world, an antique style with a softly modern touch. During the stop in the port of Harwich, you'll find a lively coastal town rich in historical monuments, just 100 kilometres from London. This is an opportunity to break away from the group and experience the British capital. After walking around the port you can visit the Maritime Museum in the city and go to London to see the British Museum, Buckingham Palace, or take a ride on the London Eye.

Bremerhaven, on Germany’s North Sea coast, is about 50 kilometres from the city of Bremen. It has its own enthralling atmosphere, due, in part, to its interesting harbour. During our cruise to Germany, we’ll stop at the port of Bremerhaven where the story of German maritime history was born. Rebuilt after World War II, the city is today, an expression of a young and open Germany Take advantage of this stop in the port of Bremerhaven to discover a city that is a symbol of German maritime history. It was a naval base for the German army during World War II, then completely destroyed and rebuilt after the war. Bremerhaven has interesting historical attractions. You can visit, for example, the German Emigration Centre, one of the largest museums in Europe dedicated to the history of German emigration to the United States. Enjoy the breathtaking views of this city with a young and friendly atmosphere and treat yourself to a visit to the zoo with its Arctic wildlife section.
