Itinerary for Sydney & South Pacific Island Explorer

Day 1 - Fly UK to Sydney

Day 2 - Fly UK to Sydney

Day 3 - Enjoy Sydney

Day 4 - Enjoy Sydney

Day 5 - Enjoy Sydney

Day 6 - Embark Celebrity Solstice in Sydney

Considered one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the Southern Hemisphere, Sydney offers just about anything—from beaches and wineries to stunning landmarks and world-class shopping. Tour architectural marvels like the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbor Bridge, view life below the surface from Sydney Aquarium’s underwater walkways, or take it all in from above on a tour of the Sydney Tower.

Day 7 - At sea

Day 8 - At sea

Day 9 - Isle of Pines

Nicknamed the "closest island to paradise" and we think you'll agree. Untouched white sand beaches, amazing underwater wonders, and superbly friendly people reside on this tiny island on the southern tip of New Caledonia.

Day 10 - Mystery Island

Located on the southern most point of the Vanuatu archipelago, this little jewel of the South Pacific is completely uninhabited. Formerly used as an allied forces landing strip during WWII, today only palm trees and sweet seclusion grow from the white sand of Mystery Island. The locals live across the waters on Tanna and visit the island during the day to spread their warmth, culture and wares. It's the perfect spot for couples, beach lovers, or anyone looking to lounge in an ocean of beauty and literally get away from it all.

Day 11 - At sea

Day 12 - Suva

Suva is the capital of Fiji built on a peninsula jutting out into the sea. Its architecture is a mixture of modern and traditional colonial buildings. You'll discover it's natural beauty in as many as 78 parks, including the new Takashi Suzuki Garden, and Thurston Gardens, which was opened in 1913 and displays flora from throughout the South Pacific. Stroll through the narrow roads of the shopping areas, most notably Cumming street, where you can step back in history for a vibrant and colorful shopping experience among original colonial buildings.

Day 13 - Lautoka

Sugarcane is the official crop of Lautoka but there is so much more to this paradise. Fiji's second largest city welcomes you with white sand beaches, turquoise water and friendly smiles from the locals. Relax on the beach, shop in the markets for beautiful pottery, or experience the exotic culture. Your visit here will leave you relaxed and refreshed.

Day 14 - At sea

Day 15 - International Dateline , At Sea / Pago Pago / Apia

This imaginary line runs roughly parallel to the 180° longitudinal line. As you travel east you'll subtract 24 hours from your current time, and add 24 hours as you travel west across it.

When you start telling people you’re taking a cruise to American Samoa while on a New Zealand cruise, they might not understand what this really means. After all, American Samoa is one of the most underrated yet beautiful parts of Polynesia. It’s a hidden gem that doesn’t immediately spring to mind when there’s Tahiti or Moorea to consider first. However, cruises to Pago Pago, the capital located on the island of American Samoa, offer up a unique experience of near seclusion and relaxation. Of course, American Samoa’s network of islands makes for adventurous exploration, whether you want to spend your entire time here swimming, paddling, and snorkeling, or seeing the incredible wildlife and coral reef ecosystem up close and personal. Learn about the legends of Pago Pago while you’re here and try traditional Samoan dishes like fa’apapa or sweet banana fritters called panikeke. No matter what, your time in Pago Pago will be a delightful break from high rises, resorts, and hurrying.

Once you experience the tropical paradise of Samoa while on a cruise to Australia and New Zealand, you’ll be quickly enamored by the South Pacific. Most people come here for the beaches, but Apia is a hidden gem where some of Samoa’s best beaches are just a short car ride away. If you’ve ever heard of the American reality TV show “Survivor,” you’ve likely seen some of the Samoan landscape featured in this long-running series, which has been shot on the island. Apia cruises offer travelers a unique glimpse into daily life in the South Pacific. Beachy and ideal for nature lovers, in Apia you can swim, snorkel, and sunbathe while surrounded by lush rainforest. Get in touch with your inner kid when you slide down the Papaseea Sliding Rocks, natural water slides formed by rock formations. Or spend an afternoon learning about the famous author Robert Louis Stevenson at the museum dedicated to him in Apia. No matter how you choose to enjoy your cruise to Samoa, there’s plenty of fine dining, nature excursions, and quaint local markets to keep you occupied.

Day 16 - At sea

Day 18 - At sea

Day 19 - At sea

Day 20 - At sea

Day 21 - Lahaina

The most prominent feature of Maui is Haleakala, the world's largest dormant volcano. And from the historic town of Lahaina, you might also witness one of nature's greatest spectacles: the annual migration of humpback whales returning to their winter feeding grounds, which takes place between December and March.

Day 22 - Honolulu, disembark & transfer to hotel / Enjoy Honolulu

Honolulu offers multiple attractions, from Pearl Harbor to Iolani Palace—a landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places. You’ll enjoy exploring this city, which seems to rise up out of the lush Hawaiian flora.
