Home / Blog / Why Cruise The British Isles

It is so often the case that many who live on our beautiful Isle never really explore the delights it has to offer. Cruising is the best way to discover our home shores with an amazing mix of sweeping national parks, captivating scenery, iconic cities, natural wonders, and historic monuments. You’ll be surprised at what you find on your own doorstep!

Here are 5 benefits to taking a UK cruise:

Your Holiday Begins the Minute You Step on Board

I know that, for some, we feel our holiday begins the minute we leave the house. I always arrive at the airport early and give myself time to browse the shops, have something to eat and maybe even a small cocktail… but even I can’t deny that no amount of shopping, food or drinks can escape the annoyance of lengthy airport queues and many hours travelling. By setting sail from the UK all of this can be avoided and you can be on top deck with your feet up faster than airport security can say “place all liquids in the plastic bags provided”.

No Baggage Restrictions

With no flights, comes no hassle with luggage allowances. When cruising from the UK you don’t need to decide between the blue dress or the gold dress or wonder whether you can squeeze in that ‘just in case’ jacket - you can! It allows you the freedom to pack what you feel you need to make sure your cruise holiday is utterly perfect.

Incredible Itineraries

We often forget the beauty and wonder that is available right here on our doorsteps. With a UK cruise holiday, you can visit virtually inaccessible locations, gateways to stunning scenery and amazing historical sites.

Less Planning Required

With a UK cruise holiday, you can cross currency exchange and visa applications off your travel to-do list. Since you will be staying in the UK you need not worry about having different currencies for each destination or having to fill out lengthy forms to apply for travel visas.

No Jet Lag

No jet lag, need I say more… This is worth its weight in gold, even if you are only a mild sufferer. Having to account for a few days of recovery after heading home from a fabulous adventure on the opposite side of the world can sometimes take the shine off that post-holiday glow. A UK cruise holiday means you will be as relaxed when you return home as you were when onboard.

Would you opt for a British Isles cruise in the future? You’ll be surprised at what you find!

Excellence

Excellent Service. Will Saxton was friendly , knowledgeable and highly efficient. In the space of one phone callWill was able to give a detailed quote for our cruise including our request for a longer stay in the destination port, flights from Glasgow , the cruise and hotels at either end of the cruise with all transport included. No hard sell . Will emailed the quote the same day and returned our call to book the cruise as quoted. He had great knowledge and could book connecting flights from Scotland easily. We can now deposit our bags at Glasgow Airport and they are booked straight through to our final destination. Delighted with the service and looking forward to our cruise
